BANG! I thought I was dying …when I collapased to my knees! (literally) with dizziness and heart palpitations. It was like I had hit a brick wall and I had.

On the outside I was handling things well but in the inside I was depleted. My nervous system couldn’t take the ‘lack of sleep’ and the ‘extra shifts’ that I found hard to turn down and I was bedridden for 2 weeks with exhaustion. That’s how bad I had ignored the oncoming signs of  my ‘Burnout”. 

I took myself to a mountain yoga ashram to calm my nervous system and left that mountain as a yoga teacher  realising that I had the power all along to come home to myself. I later went on to train as a Relaxation Therapist/ Mindfulness Teacher so that I could help others discover their calm. 

What if you stepped back to realise that you don’t have to ‘be more’, you just have to ‘be’? You just need to stop and rest! Stillness softens us to find the freedom to respond in a different way to our overwhelm and hitting brick walls to Burnout!  But you don’t have to travel to a mountain ashram to start!
